Stopped off at the apiary to check the bees hadn’t been blown over in the high winds.
[00:00:03] Welcome back to an impromptu Beekeepers Diary Podcast episode. Just sitting in my car with my phone to record on rather than my fancy equipment. I was just passing the apiary and we've got a storm here at the moment, Storm Darragh. So I was a bit worried the bees might have been blown over. So I've just popped in just to check they're okay. I'm glad to report they're still upright.
[00:00:32] No flying going on because it's very cold, very wet and very windy. So I've just checked the straps on the hives are good. I know they've got plenty of food from when I checked last week. So it's all good. Just a quick whistle stop. Sometimes you have to pop in on your bees, make sure they're not being blown over or being flooded if they're in particularly rural wet locations, rivers, etc. But please report everything's okay.
[00:00:59] And I shall leave you to it. Have a good week. See ya.
